BUNNEH TIMEE!!!

Good Morning space fans!!
It seems that I've once again abandoned this place, life's been pretty crazy since the beginning of April so I haven't really given a second thought to updating.

But considering the next month and a half is going to be even more crazy, I thought I'd take the time to make a few posts about recent ventures.

So I'll start off with Easter. Me and the rest of the wonderful team at Cyberdog Manchester had 2 days of Bunny themed fun and games. Which was pretty awesome considering I got to dress up and wear ears for 2 days!! C'mon... who does't wanna do that?

We also ran a little staff contest for the best BUNNEH!

We gave out sweeties, had a window dancer, ran a raffle and perfected the bunny hop!
Words fail me at this point, so I'll just shower you with pictures...
Our beautiful dancer Tori~
The most dramatic raffle draw in history!!

It was a really fun weekend, one of those moments where you think... "Damn... I really do love my job!!"
VIVA THEME DAYS!!

And considering I've been feeling real nostalgic recently, I'll leave you with...

The Recent Adventures of a Mecha Pilot.

The past month or so has been crazy busy for me, so I haven't really been able to find the time to blog or anything.
But considering I have an unexpected day off, I thought I'd make a post or two and stuff that's been going on. (Mainly on my days off)
So at the beginning of March I stayed at my girl Lisa's place, since she'd been in Thailand for like 4 months. I'm pretty sure we just spent the 2 days watching mind blowing amounts of VK live videos and anime.
We did also emerge to go and see Warm Bodies in the cinema.
It was actually pretty good. I do prefer the book since the movie cut loads of cool stuff out, made the ending hella lame and made the who film more rom-com. However it's enjoyable if you separate the two :D

I went to see my Mum for Mothers day. Where we watched Disney films, caught up on the last 3 Months considering we haven't hung out since Christmas. I also met her boyfriend that she's been dating for nearly a yet, he seems nice.

*Insert loads of over events that I can't remember*
Then last week Lisa and I met up again to go on a date to see the Croods.
WHICH WAS AWESOME!!
Seriously if you have a spare afternoon I really recommend that you go watch it. I might actually go again to watch it hahah.

Last week I went to the Gadget show live with my Dad, but that's for another post~

Other than everything else, I've been working everyday.
But as some of you know, I fucking LOVE my job OMG!
We've been doing alot of fun things recently and getting some rad new clothing in. So the promotion for that was again.. real enjoyable. (I was the photographer for alot of it too!)
Here are some pictures :D
My lovely little Cyberdog family. (Minus Alex and Plus Callum)
I also modeled for a few myself,
Sadly I did receive some depressing news that my friend Alex is departing :(
I'm upset cuz she's a good friend to me and my Hard House dance partner. But she's gonna be doing some awesome stuff so I wish her all the best on her adventure~
Alex you will be missed, you stupid big goff!! x

On a fun note, Legendary Hard House act the Tidy Boys came into our shop on Thursday and did a video shoot for their IDEAL WEEKENDER event at the end of the month, and I was lucky enough to be in it!!
Granted, I look like such a dork and my voice sound/accent sounds so strange on video. (And I said "super duper"!! Who the fuck says that these days OTZ) It was loads of fun and the video turned out to be way funnier than I thought so I really love it!

There's a few more things that I've been up to but they are so cool that I wanted to make a separate post.. cuz this one is getting super duperrr long! So I'll leave it at that.

And to play me out, one of my all time favorite bands....

100% KPP World Tour 2013 in LONDON!

I'm only just getting around to posting this because I've been so ill lately, so here we gooo

2 Weeks ago, I went to see Kyary Pamyu Pamyu play in London.
I ended up getting a later train than I was hoping, but it meant that I could travel with my best friend Lisa and her younger sister Jasmin.
(Dis is how I looked to get the train)
We arrived at about 2pm and headed straight to the hotel (Which was surprisingly nice considering how cheap we managed to get it!) Then we finished off making ourselves as sparkly as humanly possible before finally leaving.
Outfit..
Face!
Of course, to commemorate the day, we headed to China Town for some PAMYUKURAAAAA...
(Because I am a puri addict and you can clearly never have enough!!!)
After we finished up there it was getting pretty late so it was time we hot stepped it to the venue.
Sadly we were really really far from the front, but it didn't really matter, cuz hey! We had a ticket and that was the most important thing.
There were loads of cameras and interviewers crawling around, it was crazy.
Eventuallllllly they started letting people inside, and we got let in really quickly since we weren't using the cloakroom. So we managed to grab a pretty good spot at the merch table. (Sadly I didn't get much merch because I couldn't decide what I wanted) So in the end I got the Pamyu Pamyu Revolution CD/DVD and a towel.
Anyway, we made our way into the live hall and picked a pretty good spot, talked to old and new friends and waited for the show to start.
AND LET ME TELL YOU.. What a fucking awesome show it was!!!!
She came out dressed in her PONPONPON costume and was so smiley and cute and oh goodness ;3; My poor heart!! She did have a few outfit changes, every time she came out looking pure adorbz!!
So much cute compressed into every single song. (I actually very nearly cried a few times.. not a great image) She also played her brand new song Ninjari Ban Ban which is awesome and you should all keep your eyes open for that one.
They played a few VT's during the show, including one for Kyary's John TV~
The dancers she had were so sweet and really really high energy during the whole concert! So impressive~

The setlist wasss;
1. Pamyu Pamyu Revolution
2. PONPONPON
3. Onedari 44'C
4. Minna no Uta
5. 100% no jibun ni
6. Suki Sugite Kiresou

16. CANDY CANDY
17. Demo Demo Mada Mada
18. Kyary AnAn
19. Chanchankachanchan
ENCORE
20. Tsukema Tsukeru

As you can see, lots and lots of songs!! I was a little disappointed that she didn't play Miracle Orange tho :c
but the appearance of Pamyurin made up for that!
Here's some pictures from Kyary's website because as per usual I didn't take my camera into the venue.

I had the best time and really look forward to seeing her again~
The McDonalds after the show was crazy packed with pastels and frills, it was amazing haha!!
It seems that Kyary had a fun time in London too!
In the TOOOMBS! And more importantly...
SHE WENT TO CYBERDOG!!!!!!
This is important to me for reasons!!
I hope she liked it ;3;

The super cute evening has sort of inspired me to start wearing a little more colour recently, and on my first day back to work, we celebrated Mai's birthday
So I wore this!
And we gave out sweeties all day..
All rambling aside, I'll leave you with a lovely summery song by the wonderful KPP
Kyary Pamyu Pamyu - Drinker.

77lbs Weightloss.

This is a subject that I get asked about very often, both online and in person.
I've been putting this post off for a long time since I'm still really far off my goal weight, but since I'm over halfway there.. I thought it would be nice to discuss.

Now it was mid 2010 when I decided to start losing weight.
I looked like this..
At this time I'm not going to disclose just how much I weighed, I will one day. But let's just say that "Over weight" is a scary understatement.
Obese would be way more accurate.

My waist alone was 41 inches, whereas now it's about 30 inches. (Still not fantastic but I'm getting there)

How did I do it?
Well, I started off by cutting down snacks. Slimming down my meal portions by nearly a half and working out for half an hour a day.
Then as time passed I cut out fizzy drinks by replacing it with squash and then eventually drinking nothing but water.
(You'd actually be amazed by how much of a difference it makes. I know alot of people who diet like crazy but still drink pop, even diet pop is totally shit for you as it has a fuck tonne of chemicals and sweeteners and general nasty stuff)
I started upping my work out sessions to an hour and a half, doing cardiovascular and weightlifting.

After the first 6 months I noticed that the rate of weightloss was slowing to a gradual snails pace and for the past year I've found it really difficult. I mean, I've lost alot of weight in that time but no where near the amount I would have liked.

But that's when you really have to lift yourself up, because no matter how hard it gets, or how depressed you feel, you WILL get there!

As I mentioned in one of my last posts, I've constructed a new diet plan which has been working really well so far.

*Have a decent breakfast to set you up for the day. Keep it under 200 Calories.
*Lunch, 200-300 Calories.
*Dinner, 500-600 Calories.
*This gives you a couple hundred calories to play with in the evening, so if you fancy having a nice treat then that's okay!

The trick is replace all of the bad stuff with something that you like with much less calories, sugar and fat.
Dieting shouldn't mean that you can't still enjoy what you eat.

It's really that simple!

Of course it's hard and of course, you will always have days where you want to give up, but keep your head up and think of how much healthier you feel.
Having someone to support you is always a good idea too~

But a note to anyone who has an overweight friend who is desperately trying to lose weight...
As sweet as you mean to be, saying stuff like.. "I don't think you need to diet, I like you just the way you are!" Orrr "You're beautiful no matter what you weight!" is the WORST thing you could say.
It's almost like saying that you don't want that person to be healthy and happy, because you don't have faith in their ability to commit to such a life style. I know you have lovely intentions but the best thing you can do is to cheer your friend on and make them feel like they can rely on you when it gets tough. ^_^

I still have a long way to go until I get to the weight that I would like to be, but I've really come to feel a little more confident.
Anyway, as poorly constructed as this was, I hope it is helpful to those who've been wondering and if you have any questions at all please don't hesitate to ask. I'll be more than happy to answer.

Ans lastly I wanna thank every single one of you for your love and support! It really has been so amazingly helpful and I am unbelievably grateful to you all!

Much love~
Iku

Camden Hangin~

Lookit me, actually blogging for once hahah!
So yesterday I took a trip to Camden to do a little bit of clothes shopping, but also to hang out with my friend Chriss, whom I haven't seen in forever!

However, instead of shopping for clothes that I desperately need.... we ended up just kickin around London.
We went for lunch and discussed the ins and outs of the Visual Kei music industry, which is always good to talk about when you chow down on McDonalds.

After some more window shopping that we trekked across to China town and  stopped off in a cute little place called BobaJam. I had Green tea icecream OMNOMNOM!!!
We went to do purikura shortly after, only to find our usual machine was out of order, so we decided to give in and try one of the other machines for a change.
Turns out... it was pretty fucking cool, if not totally strange. (It was also dancing on the line of several copy right infringements)
It also turns out that my hair.. is apparently invisible XD

Bit of a spam there ... woah!

We nipped into Tokyo Toys so that I could pick up another Gundam kit, and we bumped into a nice boy who we ended up talking to about the UK Jrock scene for a little while.
Sadly I had to leave pretty much straight after, so I hopped the train home.

I had a rather nice journey home talking to a lovely woman who had seen me on the train to London that morning, whilst building my Gundam.
TOO DAMN CUTE GHAFBOS!!!

Despite not getting any shopping done, I had alot of fun catchin up with my girl Chriss!
Plus it was super nice to get back to London for a little while, I really missed it there hahah.

Anyway I hope you guys have been enjoying the sunshine we've been having.
I know I've got that happy spring feeling going on already~
So I'll leave you with the ever slick...
